Park Hyatt Hotel, Zurich
Hotel complex new build (interior design)
In the spring of 2002, Ramseier & Associates Ltd. was commissioned to undertake all interior design aspects for the building, which had been planned by Meili & Peter. The generous dimensions of the 10-meter-high lobby, which is bathed in natural light, has been set off by a large-scale painting created on the premises by Sol Le Witt. Guests have access to the neighboring lounge via a bamboo garden. The lounge is an elegant, welcoming combination of Canadian maple and cherry wood with light beige leather upholstery.
Altogether, the hotel has 142 exclusively furnished rooms as well as a ballroom and conference rooms with state-of-the-art audiovisual aids. The spacious restaurant with its 6-meter-high ceiling has a display kitchen and a wood-burning fireplace as well as a room for wine tasting events and private functions.
