Multi-story car park Spreitenbach

The Shoppi multistory car park in Spreitenbach was clad with an expanded metal façade that enshrouds the entire building. The effect of this is to pertmit a continuous exchange of air and natural lighting, whilst transforming the building’s appearance. The vertical access wells are concealed by large-scale images, which act as eye-catchers from a considerable distance while creating the illusion that the parking decks are bands that ‘float’ behind them.

Shoppers on the footway leading directly to the shopping center are protected from the elements by a dynamic roof construction resembling two wings.
